Total Parenteral Nutrition

At the Children’s Center at the Phoenix, we specialize in providing Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), a life-sustaining form of nutrition administered intravenously. This method is essential for patients who are unable to receive their nutrition through conventional means due to digestive issues.

Tailored Nutritional Care

TPN is designed to meet the complete nutritional needs of patients directly through their bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals with conditions such as short bowel syndrome, motility disorders, absorptive disorders, or any other condition leading to intestinal failure.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Understanding that nutritional needs vary from one patient to another, we offer personalized TPN regimens. While some of our patients may complement their nutrition with oral or tube feeding, others may rely exclusively on TPN. Our goal is to ensure that each patient receives the precise balance of nutrients required for their unique health circumstances.

Expert Multidisciplinary Team

Our dedicated team of specialists is committed to providing the highest level of care for patients with intestinal failure. We take a holistic approach to treatment, encompassing not only the technical administration of TPN but also the broader health and wellbeing of our patients. Our staff includes experts in nutrition, gastroenterology, nursing, and pharmacy, all working together to deliver optimal outcomes.

A Record of Excellence

We are proud to highlight our success rate and the positive outcomes achieved for our patients, standing as a testament to our expertise and dedication in the field of nutritional support. At the Children’s Center at the Phoenix, we believe that every patient deserves individualized attention and the best possible care to thrive, even in the face of challenging medical conditions.

Our commitment to excellence in Total Parenteral Nutrition underscores our broader mission to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care for all our residents, ensuring they receive the support needed to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

A CMS 5-Star Rated Facility in Quality Measures

Ratings for the quality measures are based on performance on 15 of the QMs that are currently posted on the Care Compare website. These include nine long-stay measures and six short-stay measures. Note that not all the quality measures that are reported on Care Compare are included in the rating calculations. In addition to an overall quality measure rating, separate QM ratings for short-stay measures and long-stay measures are also reported.
